Adult Teams
Cumann Baile Ghearóid - Réalt na Mara currently fields a total of five adult teams. We have Ladies Football, Mens Intermediate and Junior football, and mens Intermediate and Junior hurling teams. Training takes place at our complex for all mens teams on Tuesday and Thursdays at 7.30p.m., both new and old players are welcome. Our ladies team train on Saturday mornings. Our current teams are competing at all levels throughout the county and under the stewardship of their mentors (listed below) they gave a great account of themselves in the 2004 season. Following on from the succaeesful season of 2002, last year was a year in which the team and their mentors consolidated their positions and made plans for their run at the championships in 2004. The results of all the hard work and training are slowing begining to make themselves known as the results start to go our way. While boasting a reasonable sized squad, the club is aware of the enormous number of new people coming into the area. Both parishes have grown at a phenomenal rate over the last number of years, and the clubs mentors and committee would like to invite anybody interested in playing either hurling or football to contact either the committee or the relevant team mentors.
